PTR & PTS Calculator

EASY CALCULATION: Let’s break down pharmaceutical pricing into simpler terms. Imagine you’re running a pharmacy, and you need to figure out how much to pay for the medicines you stock.

ONE CLICK CALCULATION: Our PTR & PTS Calculator does all this math for you. Just input the MRP, GST, your desired margins, you get the right prices.

    Here’s how it works:

    1. PTR (Price To Retailer): This is the price at which you, as a retailer, buy medicines from your supplier (usually a stockist or distributor). The PTR involves two steps:
      • First, subtract the profit margin you want (let’s say 20%) from the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of the medicine.
      • Then, adjust for taxes (like GST) by dividing the result by (1 + GST rate).
      • The formula for PTR is: PTR = (MRP – (MRP * (Retail Margin / 100))) / (1 + (GST / 100))

    2. PTS (Price To Stockist): This is the price at which the stockist (who gets medicines directly from the pharma company) buys from them. It’s simpler:

Subtract the stockist’s profit margin from the PTR.

The formula for PTS is: PTR – (PTR * (Stockist Margin / 100))

Why Do Margins Matter with Genetic Pharma?

    • Retail Margin: This is how much profit you make when selling to customers. Calculate it as a percentage of the difference between MRP and PTR.
    • Stockist Margin: This is the profit the stockist makes. It’s a percentage of the difference between PTR and PTS.
